Modular Furniture Store Big-Brand Polish on WooCommerce

Can WordPress sell a $2,000 sofa as smoothly as the big direct-to-consumer brands? I built this WooCommerce concept, modelled on Burrow’s modular furniture store, to prove it can.

  • 9Shop categories
  • 4Trust promises up front
  • 3Weeks to build

The Idea

Big-Brand Polish. Small-Business Platform.

Direct-to-consumer furniture brands like Burrow set the bar online: rooms that feel real, modular products explained simply, clear delivery promises and pay-later financing before the cart. Most run on custom or enterprise stacks that a growing furniture business can’t justify.

This concept asks one question: can WooCommerce deliver the same experience? I rebuilt the key patterns of a modern modular-furniture store in WordPress, so furniture and home-decor brands can see exactly what they’d get, and own it outright.

What the concept had to prove

  • A premium, lifestyle-led look
  • Easy browsing across 9 categories
  • Modular products, explained simply
  • Trust before the checkout
  • Mobile-first shopping
  • Fast, SEO-ready foundation
The Challenge → The Solution

Furniture Is Hard to Sell Online. Here’s How.

Six reasons shoppers hesitate on a big-ticket piece, and the design answer to each.

  1. Big price, low trustNobody spends $2,000 with a store they’re unsure about.
Promises up frontSale bar, free shipping over $2,000, pay-later financing and tool-free assembly, all in the first scroll.
  2. Too many categoriesSofas, beds, desks, rugs, outdoor… easy to get lost.
Shop by roomSeating, Living, Dining, Bedroom, Office, Outdoor, Rugs & Decor, Storage, and a Warehouse Sale.
  3. Modular is hard to explain“Configurable” means nothing until you see it.
Problems first, products secondSections that show everyday problems, then how each piece adapts, moves and grows with you.
  4. Products look flat onlineA sofa on a white background doesn’t sell a living room.
Lifestyle-led showcasesPieces shown in real rooms, with collection stories that give each range a personality.
  5. A nervous path to checkoutShoppers leave to look for reviews somewhere else.
Proof before the cartBestsellers, customer reviews and top-rated products, right on the homepage.
  6. Big images, slow pagesFurniture stores are photo-heavy, and every second costs sales.
Fast on every deviceCompressed images, lazy loading and mobile-first layouts from the start.

Every Scroll Answers a Doubt.

Each step lights up where it sits on the page.

    Collections with a story

Big lifestyle photos that sell the room, not just the sofa.

Star-rated customer reviews and top-rated products close the doubt.

  6. 06
    Delivery, made clear

How fast it ships and what it costs, answered before anyone has to ask.
