The Brief

A Craft Brand That Deserved a Better Store.

Bolo Supply Co. is a Portland, Oregon shop with everything makers need to build their own bolo ties: braided leather cord, tips and slides, stone cabochons and complete kits. It began because supplies for bolo tie makers were scattered across many sellers, with uneven quality and constant backorders.

The products were beautiful. The old store wasn’t doing them justice. Jasha wanted a Shopify store that felt as premium as the parts, made the right one easy to find, and turned more visitors into buyers, on phones as much as on desktop.

What success looked like

  • More sales and conversions
  • A premium brand feel
  • Products shown with rich visuals
  • Faster pages
  • More organic traffic
  • A simpler checkout
The Challenge → The Solution

Six Problems. Six Fixes.

Each problem in the old store got its own, specific answer in the new one.

  1. Outdated designThe store looked dated next to the quality of the products.
Craftsmanship-first brandingA hero that sells the craft, “Craft Your Perfect Bolo Tie”, and a Pacific Northwest story told with pride.
  2. Hard-to-find productsCords, tips, slides and stones in many sizes and finishes, with no clear way to browse them.
Shop Bolo ComponentsClear paths into Leather Cord, Tips & Slides, Stones and Bolo Tie Kits, from the menu and the homepage.
  3. Low conversionsVisitors browsed, but too many carts were left behind.
A layout built to convertBest Sellers with star ratings up front, offers in the top bar and a streamlined checkout.
  4. Slow pagesLoading times were costing attention and sales.
Speed optimizationA lighter storefront so products appear quickly on every device.
  5. No email marketingNo way to bring first-time visitors back.
Klaviyo + analytics“Join our community of makers” with 10% off the first order, email through Klaviyo, and Google Analytics to track what works.
  6. Weak on mobile and searchNot mobile-friendly and not set up for SEO.
Mobile-first, SEO-readyDesigned for phones first, with clean SEO structure and a “How to Make a Bolo Tie” guide under Learn.
